The AP has released this week’s polls, with E.C. Central making an appearance in the boys 4A poll for the first time. Working their way in at No. 8, the Cardinals have won three in a row but haven’t played since Dec. 30.

In the girls poll, voters are finally starting to notice Gavit, giving the Gladiator girls a few votes and Merrillville moved up from seventh to sixth in the girls 4A poll.

The usual suspects are among the remaining polls with little movement. The official rankings follow:
